The Location
Right where you want to be
Te Kauwhata sits just off State Highway 1 in the heart of the Waikato, almost exactly halfway between Auckland and Hamilton, and within easy reach of Tauranga. Known as the heart of the Golden Triangle, this strategic position keeps you close to family, city conveniences and key transport links, with a straightforward 45-minute drive north to Auckland or a 30-minute drive south to Hamilton.

Auckland’s CBD is around an hour away, while in the other direction you’re just as close to the coast. Within easy reach of Raglan’s iconic seaside village and Manu Bay’s world-famous left-hand surf break, as well as the Coromandel for a
spontaneous getaway.
Te Kauwhata remains very much a provincial town. It has its own rhythm and character. It’s not a commuter suburb, but a place with established schools, sports clubs, local shops and long-standing community groups. You’re close enough to everything, yet far enough away to breathe.
and Goodfellows Community Hub

and Goodfellows Community Hub
Goodfellows is positioned within the wider Lakeside neighbourhood, near Lake Waikare and just South of the village centre. You’ll be surrounded by open space, walking trails and thoughtfully planned streets, while remaining connected to the everyday essentials that make life comfortable.
It’s a location that offers accessibility, community and long-term opportunity in equal measure.
When complete, Goodfellows will comprise 210 homes, delivered in stages. Stage One includes 72 homes, with display units scheduled for completion in 2026. The site is largely flat, making movement around the neighbourhood easy and accessible. Streets have been designed for residents rather than through-traffic, creating a calm, pedestrian-friendly environment. It has the feel of a gated community, private and secure, without the gates.
Winton's Lakeside
Be part of something special
Goodfellows forms part of the wider Lakeside neighbourhood, a masterplanned community carefully shaped and delivered by Winton over recent years.
Lakeside has opened up public access to Lake Waikare, created kilometres of walking and cycling trails, and introduced a growing village centre with cafés and local services. Streets
are considered, green spaces generous, and the overall feel remains semi-rural despite steady growth.
Winton’s long-term vision for Lakeside has been to manage density carefully and maintain openness, ensuring the town expands in a cohesive and curated way. As a result, Te Kauwhata has evolved into a thriving and increasingly sought-after provincial community.
For Goodfellows’ residents, this connection matters. You’re not moving into an isolated enclave, you’re becoming part of an established and growing neighbourhood, with amenity and infrastructure already delivered and more to come.
Goodfellows allows you to step into that story at a stage that suits you, surrounded by people in a similar chapter of life, while still feeling part of the wider Lakeside community.
